Subject: Muslim and Arab Journal of Service, Hospitality, and Tourism Management

Dear colleagues,

I am very happy to share this journal project idea with you. As the title indicates, this is not "another" journal, again. The rationale for such an academic knowledge platform is clear: data about Muslim and Arab consumers is negligible and at best scattered despite the growing importance of these populations and their purchasing power. Without a systematic analysis of their attitudes, behaviors, experience, and constraints this market will remain misunderstood and stereotyped.

The attached paper briefly documents the need for such an academic initiative. It also contains some interesting data.

I am looking for editorial board members to join me in this so much need and timely academic endeavor. If you are interested just email me your CV and an indication of your research interest: e.g., (a) Services, (b) Hospitality, (c) Tourism, (d) Leisure, (e) Recreation, bearing in mind that this is a multidisciplinary journal.

I am counting on your contribution and I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Omar Moufakkir
