2019 MESA Call for Papers - Feb 15 Deadline

Dear List Members,

The MESA call for papers is open. Please feel free to use this list to help organize a panel or roundtable. I plan to attend MESA but will not be presenting a tourism relate paper. I will, however, be glad to serve as chair, maybe discussant, and/or to help if needed draft a panel abstract based on a collection of 4 or 5 abstracts on a related theme.

The Middle East Studies Association annual meeting will be held November 14-17, 2019, in New Orleans, LA.

All submissions must be made through myMESA (https://mesana.org/mymesa/login.php) MESA’s membership and electronic submissions system. The system closes at midnight (Mountain Standard Time) on February 15, 2019.

There are five categories of presentation:

Panel (Preorganized panels should include 4 or 5 papers. A chair and discussant may be added at any time).
Roundtable
Thematic Conversation
Individual Paper for panel placement
Special or Current Issues Session
