Hello Men Talk,
I'm a grad student in Clark University's clinical psychology program completing my dissertation on sabotage/undermining as it applies to romantic partners/couples and weight loss. I'd like your assistance to announce my survey as I'm sure many of your contacts must have priceless knowledge to share on this issue.
By sharing this with those in your network, you will also be helping me take another step closer to becoming the first person in my family to earn a doctorate. Please take a moment to think of a few people with whom you could share this request. I hope you will choose to pass this message on to your social network through the best means (a personal email, your Google Group, Facebook post, blog entry, Tweet, etc.) and ask your contacts to do the same. I could really use your help to finish my dissertation and bring research on this little-studied topic to light.

Amanda Harp is a graduate student at Clark University. She only needs 28 more people to complete this survey for those with partners who (at least sometimes) sabotage weight loss programs. This is the last piece of data collection she needs to complete toward her doctoral dissertation.
If you can answer yes to the next 4 questions, please help her out (she is donating $1 to charity for every completed survey, you can also enter a drawing for 1 of 10 gift cards - one $100 and nine $25)!
*Are you at least 18 years of age?
*Have you been participating in a weight loss program for the past consecutive 5 weeks?
*Have you been in a committed, cohabitating relationship for the past 2 years?
*Do you ever feel like your current partner/spouse gets in the way of your weight loss?
If so, please click here to take her anonymous research survey:

If you answered yes to all four questions, then you’re invited to
participate in this anonymous, online survey to learn more about undermining
(or sabotaging) by romantic partners during weight loss. This survey
should take approximately 30-40 minutes to complete (including your thoughtful
responses about your personal experiences with partner/spousal undermining of
your weight loss efforts).
Responses to this survey cannot be traced back to participants. Any
question may be left unanswered. Participation is voluntary and may be
withdrawn at any time. Upon survey completion, you will be provided with
an email address and subject line to enter a drawing for 1 of 10 gift cards
(one $100 card and nine $25 cards). Each participant who completes the
survey may also select to have $1 donated by the researcher to the
participant’s choice of 1 of these 5 charities: Playworks <http://www.playworks.org/>, The Carter Center <http://www.cartercenter.org/>, Teach for America<http://www.teachforamerica.org/>, Susan G. Komen for the
Cure <http://ww5.komen.org/>, or MAP International <http://www.map.org/>.
This study is being conducted by Amanda G. Harp, M.A., who is a graduate
student in the Psychology Department at Clark University
under the supervision of James V. Cordova, Ph.D. If you have any
questions about this study, please contact Amanda Harp <ah...@clarku.edu> or Dr. James Cordova <jcor...@clarku.edu>.
