Well, after a half an hour (an eternity) a nueurosurgeon Doc. showed
us some of the scan and said he was going to go after it in the next
half-hour!!! OMG!!! What! and you need our permission....?...?
So, an hour later, our precious 2.5 year old son was having brain
surgery!
With all this bad news, and such kind and thoughtful nurses and
doctors, the Doctor came back to the waiting room and told us (2.5hrs
later) that it went really well, our son was awake in recovery, and
smoking a cigarette in the back just chillin'. LOL I think Brain
Surgeons have an interesting sense of humor...
So, wow, at about 1pm our son went into surgery, and 4pm he was in
PICU awake and telling Victoria to move out of the way of the
TV..,"Mom, I can't see the show," he says. :) :)
Now we are home (came home 8-13 around 3pm), he is playing, talking,
walking, as if nothing was wrong!!! WOW, who would have thought...
such a fast recovery, no complications... O M G! So, needless to
say, we are very grateful and happy to have him home... Oh, and our
daughter (5 now) didn't really care that we couldn't be there on her
B-Day. She's just happy to play with her brother again... and so are
we!!!
much love, hope everyone is well
scott
p.s. the tumor seems to be benign!!! but not totally sure yet.
