FALL Music Salon Schedule & Topics Discussion

Hey guys,

Music Salons start back up this Sunday, August 30th. Here is the
schedule for the rest of the Fall/Winter, which are all Sundays

DATES: 8/30, 9/20, 9/27,10/4, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/22, 12/6, 12/13,
12/20

TIME: 2 PM - 4 PM (unless otherwise stated the week before)

DONATION: As always, a donation of $5 is requested so that we can keep
the space

TOPICS: Really, I'm open. I have a bunch of sheet music we can try, or
if anyone has a tune they'd like to share, by all means, please do!
Here is a list of songs/ topics I'd like to approach

1) El-Rayh - Moroccan piece with Karachi rhythm
2) Aziza - belly dance standard
3) A khaleegi peice of any kind
4) Alf Layla wa Layla - first lazmah of the song
5) Nassam Alayna El Hawa - Fairuz piece
6) More Balkan Stuff

Does anyone have a Greek or Armenian piece they like and would like to
share? I also have some more modern pieces that I did in Egypt that
were fun, we don't have to stick to classical /folkloric stuff here.
