Hi
Connecting the Mems 1.6 ECU
I would like to play a bit on the table at home with the spare Mems 1.6 ECU from Rover 1.4mpi 1995.
The problem is how to connect it. I will make the TTL rx, tx, gnd (10, 15, 30pin) interface. Do I also need to connect a 12V power supply to the ECU or is just TTL enough? If not, where to connect which pins.
I know that there will be errors, etc. but I would like to check and experiment with the parameters.
Thanks.

Surely, you have to power up the ECU.

The photo shows the pinouts as labelled on the breakout box I knocked up.

Pins 28 and 29 are the power and ground pins for the ECU, respectively.

Thanks.
This is exactly what I was missing.

Excellent.   Thank you.   If you need anything else, or if you discover something of interest to the rest of us, please do post back.

Good luck with your project.
