Hi y'all - this really makes one think - it certainly made him think!

The consciousness part is quite like the 'trip' associated with
specific and very strong entheogens.

Well, I don't buy it and neither do a lot of others. Here's a link I
found online that gives a lot of what I was thinking the first time I
read this a few days ago:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1230747/Is-coma-man-Rom-Houben-REALLY-writing-Mystery-critics-slam-Ouija-board-typing.html

Take a look at that video and look how fast he's going from letter
to letter. Yet he can't even move his hands? Look at where his eyes
are focused. Naw... its ouija board stuff. I remember my mom and her
friends (one of whom was a wiccan and really into occult stuff)
playing the ouija board and seeing the viewer fly around the board
just like Rom Houben's hand is flying around the keyboard. Here's
another story on it: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34164145/ns/health-more_health_news/

Hi y'all - yes it shouldn't be difficult to discredit this. As his
mother is available, some questions that the therapist could not
possibly know the answer to could be posed. I am skeptical at the
moment, but I would like to believe that he is conscious. Of course,
I'd like to believe in a God that will take me to everlasting paradise
with a whole bunch of freshly minted virgins supplied every day too.

He has been asked questions only he could answer. He also smiles in
response to funny things.

Hmmmm...

You obviously know more about this case, Liz. Got any links? I've
been wrong before. I remember the last time..... back in '78 it was.

I was just looking for a link. It was on CNN that I heard the bit about him
being asked questions that only he could know the answer to and getting them
right.
