I saw it. Why didn't you. In my field we are taught to free the mind
so that we can own free thought. The results of this election were
obvius over a month ago. IT HAD TO BE AN HISTORIC LANDSLIDE.
Freethought could see that. Some are not free to think because owned
by so many things. One of those is foolish faith that gives an
unrealistic view. Doubt is a faith. Even imagining yourselves
adherents of freethought can be a faith.

Other things deny the capacity for free thought. Like drinking and
taking drugs. All lovers of free thought are ALWAYS stone cold sober
out of love of free thought. Anything that binds thought we are
repulsed by. There are other things in the way of free thought that I
will begin to address here. "Identifying" is one of them. If you
identify with gun causes or being "Joe, the plumber", that is how you
damn yourselves to think. Lack of "Attention to Mind" is another. How
can you expect to think freely when you pay no attention to how you
think?

Freethought is not atheism (just another faith). It is not CLAIMING to
be a freethinker. It is being stone cold sober always, and determined
to think effectively and correctly. It comes with seeing exactly how
things combine to form mind. Mind is a glandular result that
transcends any individual because of a cultural component. You think
with your skin as much as your brain, kids. If you drank last night,
you will not be free to think freely for over a year. If you take the
dragon you will struggle to ever be free to think freely. If you have
moral restrictions, those must be overcome to think freely. You must
look death and all other fears in the eye to have a single
freethought. If you are urban or suburban or rural, that must be
overcome. As long as you adhere to labels you will deny yourself
freethought. ONE DOES NOT HAVE FREE THOUGHT JUST BECAUSE THEY LOUDLY
PROCLAIM THEMSELVER TO BE FREE THINKERS.

A topic I will post soon concerns the place for adversity in free
thought. When we have struggled desperately to keep a loved one alive
as I have for a quarter of a century, and through shocking adversity,
we are rewarded a new view ~ a new way of thinking. Also, when young I
was violent. Very violent. By the time I was the age of some of the
youngest here I had already faced SWAT teams called specifically in
response to my personal activities. A few times. This was due
activities against the Viet Nam War and a period where, childishly, I
played at being a vigilante after witnessing a rape. In other words, I
have known both ends of weaponry intimately. I have challenged death
too often to be impressed with it, both as vigilante and father. We
are not free thinkers when we consider the consequences of thought or
even action. To DARE is essential.
