Pope to resign - what will god think?

Hi y'all - it is no good saying "well there goes his infallibility" - I've tried that on Catholics in the past. He is only infallible when he's making an official proclamation. But wait...................he can't make an official proclamation if he resigns! I'm praying that god will punish him for this betrayal.
