Job Role: Java Developer Developer
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: 4+ Months

Behavior Characteristics Expectations:
Strong application architecture, system design, implementation, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills - position requires significant communication with many teams within our organization as well as the negotiation of tasks, dates and deliverables.
Looking for strong seasoned leader/developer able to develop, support and mentor others.
Provides strategic leadership and high level of technical expertise for specific applications.
Assesses the business and organizational implications of key application technology alternatives for wide-impact initiatives; recommends appropriate action.
Guides the development team in overall application technology design activities; leads the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
Manages issue identification and problem resolution.
High level of competency expected.

Programming Languages:
Strong understanding of web code development and security implementations around web and mobile applications.
Strong Java, JEE programming skills are required.
Strong JavaScript and related framework development experiences are required.
Strong Stored Procedures, HTML, CSS skills are preferred.
Strong Bootstrap, Angular, SOAP/REST web services, XML, Unix, Perl, Spring preferred.

SQL Database
Relational Database experience in at least one of the following is required: Oracle, DB2, MSSQL Server.

Additional Skills a plus:
Working knowledge of application server environments (i.e. WebSphere, Tomcat, Node JS).
Should have a strong working knowledge of web servers (specifically Apache and IIS) and plug-ins related to security.
Administration fundamentals in Windows and Unix preferred
IDE Experience (i.e. IntelliJ, Eclipse).
Source code management practices and experience with products like SVN, Git.
Application Security Development Experience in Single Sign On (SSO)
Familiar with Dev Ops and Dev Ops tools (i.e. Jenkins)

Miscellaneous Preferred Technologies (not required):
Office Tool (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
Understanding of Financial Applications.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related area and typically 5-8 years of directly related experience.
Master’s degree a plus
