Friend of mine that many of you probably know James Ruffer, his company is looking to hire for a PHP spot. Here’s what James sent me, if you’re interested contact him directly:

> We are looking for a PHP developer who is dedicated to his craft, writes code that is proud of and can hit the ground running. We need you to write beautiful, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways.

> You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

> Responsibilities

> Write “clean”, well designed code
> Produce detailed specifications
> Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
> Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
> Follow industry best practices
> Knowledge with Symfony2, PHP7 and MySql.
> Knowledge with Docker deployments a plus.
> Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

> Requirements

> Proven software development experience in PHP
> Understanding of open source projects like OpenCart, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, Symfony2 framework, OmniPay, Magento, etc
> Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
> Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
> Experience in common third-party APIs with payment gateways
> Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
> Experience with Git and its methods for multi person team

> We are a fun and agile group of developers. We cut off suit ties and burn trousers. If you are looking for a 9-5 office coding job, then this is not the place for you. We love coding and love to bust each others chops. We have a central office located in NYC but you will never see us there. We use Slack, Google Hangout and if forced email. If you are the type that knows it all and never asks your peers for help, move along. We all constantly challenge each other to be better and grow as a team.
