to MEMO Project
After 3 festivals - Portland, Lyme Regis and Hay-on-Wye - and the
current exhibition at St. Paul's, interest in the project is greater
than ever. The exhibition of MEMO carvings on the south side of St.
Paul's looks fantastic, and has been extended through the summer to
the end of August. A working model of the MEMO bell also forms part of
the exhibition.
Sebastian Brooke, project director, will be talking to Libby Purves on
Midweek this Wednesday, 9am on Radio 4.
Richard Doney, director of the Lyme Regis fossil festival, commented
that he had been much congratulated by the public on the MEMO carving
activities. Walter Ederlen, the man from UNESCO, also gave plaudits to
MEMO in his speech opening the festival.
Most memorable comment from a supporter at Hay - "All the expenses
claimed by the M.P.'s should be repaid and donated to MEMO!"
