Appearance of shortcut icon

I have been happily using Memento for some time on my Android phone and tablet.  I find it helpful to be able to create shortcuts on my home screen, to different databases.  It used to be that the image selected for the database image was the one shown on the shortcut icon.  Now however a sub image similar to the Memento icon is superimposed over my image on the shortcut icon.  As I have specifically selected the image I want displayed, having something else superimposed over the top can be quite irritating.  I know I can work around it by editing the shortcut icon in Android but I would rather not.

Can anyone suggest a way to prevent the "memento" icon being superimposed on these shortcuts?
