iPhone unable to search or add NFC for Barcode field.

I use memento to help keep track of some items with NFC chips to check them in and out. I never ran into an issue scanning them on android devices but recently I added someone who has an iPhone and they were unable to scan the chip. The search function only brings up the camera to scan a barcode. 

Is this more of an iOS/iPhone issue or permissions within the app?

In the early days of Memento you needed your own scanner program for the barcode. I guess that's still the case in iOS. You can contact the developer and describe the problem.
