Hi,
Just wanted to get some opinions/feedback.
a) I have with Momento a bug regarding using the "table view" on my Samsung S7 FE tablet, which makes the use of Momento on my tablet not usuable. I would like to know if anyone else is having this issue and, if possible, what type of device you are using. The issue is that when I open a record in Table View the number of the record on the far left, upon closing the record) separates from the particular record and changes it's position in relation to the record it belongs to by about 10 records, so that if I open a record after that I'm am now not working on the record really assigned to this number, which of course changes a different record than the one I wish to edit. I had multiple incidents of changing the wrong record before I figured out what was going on and, therefore, considerable greif. I am using this database for a small business and need it to be reliable and supported by the developer regarding major issues such as this.

b) Momento has acknowledged the bug, and it seems, has no intention to rectify it, so I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. And also if others have experienced serious bugs that have gone unattended to.

c) I have other apps that when bugs are acknowledged take quick action to rectify, so am wondering about my long term use here, as I have now invested money, MUCH time and effort, and want to get a feel for others experiences with what they have experienced in regard to this overall issue of support.

Any feedback would be appreciated - Thank you!

I don't use table view, so I can't help here, but the Memento developer has up to now been prompt in fixing problems. The only example where he didn't that I can recall is when Google changed their API causing autosync to Sheets to stop working. I assume he never fixed this because he was unable to do it with the new API. I'm very surprised he said he wouldn't fix your problem. I gather he gave you no reason or explanation?

Hi,

it is true that the developer(s) does not quickly or not at all correct the bugs in mementodatabase (example: the deletion scripts have not worked for more than a year), and on top of that the translations of new features are often long to be made.

I also think for my part that beta testers are not very rigorous when it comes to checking new features, unfortunately working with a team of technicians, I cannot put myself in beta tester without this also forcing them to put themselves even in beta testers, at the risk of losing data in the event of a major bug.

That said to date I have not found an Android application as advanced and user-friendly (if anyone has any suggestions?)

Gilles.
