Barcode field - 503 Service Unavailable error

This doesn't work for me anymore. Been using it for years and recently scanning the barcode isn't working. The error is:

503 Service Unavailable
GET https://www.googleapis.com/books/v1/volumes?key=[key string][ISBN scan info]
reason: "backendFailed"

message: "Service temporarily unavailable".

That has been temporarily unavailable for some time now.

I did think maybe my firewalls blocked googleapis but it doesn't work on mobile data either, so I know it's not my environment.

When will this service, that I am paying for, be returned?
