Hi,

Is there any way to use an ISBN scan to record and auto-fill entries please?

I had a look at barcode scanning on the app but a lot of books I have are older than barcodes.

I think, you need OCR. Take a photo of the ISBN, convert it via OCR to numbers, insert into memento

Yes, ISBN !

Gilles, have look on the backside of a book ! The Barcode you see is the ISBN, older books ~ more than 20years (or so) have only the number w/o barcode

Da müsste es gehen ,wenn ich die Nummer in ein Barcode Feld eingebe das diesen den Code generrirt . Diesen Code mit der APP einscanne und dann darmit das Buch finde ?

With only a few books you can enter this manually in a barcode field. on the other hand you can also use the manually / OCR readed numbers to create and print labels and stick them on the books. Then the associated data records can always be found quickly.

bei ein paar Büchern kann man das ja manuell in ein Barcode-Feld eingeben. andererseits kann man mit den manuell/OCR erfassten Zahlen aber auch gleich Etiketten erzeugen und drucken und auf die Bücher kleben. Dann können die zugehörigen Datensätze immer schnell gefunden werden.
