cloud entries number much higher than local - why?

Hi all

Using Memento on my Nexus 7 - works well.

I have 738 entries in a database of books.

When I upload to the cloud and synchronise the cloud version shows that it has 1640 entries.

Any ideas why and what I can do about it?
