The group is up again, and all those who set settings to get messages by email will now know about it. The rest will have to wait until they next try to surf to the Memento...@Googlegroups.com forum site. Sigh. I hope we'll all be back to talking again within a week or so. I recommend that group membership setting, if using email suits you.

Its banning by Google was accidental on our part and invalid on Google's part. I don't expect it to happen again, though I'm not sure we know how to prevent it whenever someone spams the group. Clicking or tapping Report Spam apparently does the wrong thing. We were the victims, not the perpetrators of the crime.
