One of my databases has a text field in which I often write moderately long (500-1000 words) entries.  Periodically, while typing, I suddenly get an error which says something like "index out of range: xxxx" where xxxx is typically a number around 2000 (sorry, I keep forgetting to take a screenshot of the exact message).  This does not happen with any consistency but I THINK that it frequently happens if I'm typing somewhere around character 2000 (or 2048?) and then backspace several characters.  Once I get the error, my only choice is to click "OK" which will close the entire app and lose everything I've typed since my last save.  This is sufficiently annoying that I will sometimes just enter the text into Word and then cut-and-paste it into Memento rather than just use the memento app.

I've been trying to determine if there are any specific combinations of factors which will cause this to happen consistently but I haven't been able to nail it down.

BTW, I'm talking about the Windows desktop version.  I'm currently on ver 1.13.2 build 9701(Memento says this is the newest version) but I've had this problem with earlier releases as well.

Has anyone else encountered this?  Is it a known bug?

Hallo
Die PC Version braucht den Cloud speicher und damit eine Internet verbindung . Ist das gegeben oder gibt es da Störungen ?

Hello
The PC version needs cloud storage and therefore an internet connection. Is that the case or are there disturbances?

It sounds to me like you need to be in direct communication regarding this at sup...@MementoDatabase.com. As you say, 2048 may be a buffer size or something, and the backspacing could trigger errors that might have slipped through their testing.

Thanks for your response, Ernst.  I have a very reliable high-speed connection so I don't think that's the problem.
