"new library" save button grayed out

Hello,

Complete newcomer to Memento here.

I can't get off the starting block. I click File > New Library > Blank Library

I add some fields etc.

The Save button remains obdurately greyed out.

The help pages called 'Starting out' and those relating to creating new libraries do not mention this problem (I have read them!)

I have tried adding every property of every field, but cannot discover what the magic requirement is to get it to save my new database. I tried to create the library by importing a CSV file, but you have to create the library in advance -- and make every field have the exact same name as the column headers because there is no mapping tool.

What system are you using? Memento on a PC requires a cloud connection. You'll need to create an account on your phone and use it on your PC.

Are you sure that you give a name to libary first?
The libary must be named before saving.

This happens to me when I am being absent minded: Forgetting to enter the new Library name, then wondering why I can't save the library. Doh!

The checkmark Save icon/button is NOT greyed out, at least if you have provided a library name and maybe also an entry name field (which is the default for the first field in a new library).

We often stumble while talking with each other based on the platform we are using and apparently are incorrectly assuming everyone else is also using. To me, it's a checkmark. Maybe for you, it's something else. Maybe at least tell us what platform you're on (Android, macOS/Windows/Linux, or iOS).

Thank you all for the help. The library name! I couldn't see it because it was hidden in plain sight and in large letters at the top. I was busy looking for the tiny detail I had apparently missed...
