Because I'm from germany, I have to deal with the so called Umlaute (mutated vowels) ä, ö, ü as well as ß.
When I tried to import csv-files, after some hard work everything worked quite fine. But importing words with the letters mentioned above doesn't work quite well. Because every single of those letters was replaced by a white questionmark in black square.

Does anybody has a suggestion what to do that this doesn't happen? I'm about to import databases with more than 2000 entries. And I really don't want to Check every single one, to find the Umlaute... ;-)

I'm looking forward to your answers.

Thank you

Take for the export to a csv file if possible LibreOffice. In Libre Office go to "save as" --> change to csv-format, press save, next message press also save and at the next window you can select the seperator and change the format to "Unicode UTF-8"
