I have used the Print function to do a report using the built in Reports.

When I use the Table report function it will generate a report but the format is in tiny columns and has unchangeable format. It does show the photos in the library though.

When I use the built in Forms Report I get a Java Heap error.  I tried this weeks ago, maybe with a different library but it did work and it had the pics included in the report. It was acceptable although little control.

I have just tried the Jasper Reports.  I learned enough to generate a report. I did a test report with a few fields including the picture.  I chose the Jasper category "

java.util.ArrayList
" as it suggests on the JasperStudio wiki page.  I am getting the link or url to the photo instead of the photo.

I need some way to generate a report for reference that is self contained and not dependent on getting a picture from the web.  Surely there is a way to do this?

Thanks, Todd

I just tried a smaller version of the same Library and it completed the Forms Report built in version and it did work like last time in an acceptable manner.  There must be a limit that it can handle for a report.  Although the one I'm trying to do the report for is about 160 entries with mostly 1 photo for each entry.
Using the Jasper reports might be better if I can embed the photo in the report?

Hallo
Du könntest die Bibliothek vorher Filtern und so die Anzahl der zudruckenten Berichte retuzieren . Auf mehrere Teile aufteilen .

Hello

You could filter the library beforehand and thus reduce the number of reports to be printed. Split them into several parts.

Thank you for the reply.  That has worked. If anyone finds out if JasperReports can embed the picture instead of putting a link, that would be great.
