A Comprehensive Memento Compliance Audit of PyWB

Hi,

As PyWB is being deployed at an ever growing number of public web archives, it is becoming more important to ensure that the replay system does not break existing tools and services in the web archiving ecosystem. With that in mind, we at Web Science and Digital Libraries Research Group performed a comprehensive Memento audit of the upcoming version of PyWB 2.4 [1].

We found a number of critical compliance issues and reported them individually to the PyWB repo [2] for further discussion. The summary section of the report links to corresponding issues in the repo. We have provided the test dataset for reproduciblity. In addition to that, we will continue to keep the test instances on our server live for a while for anyone to investigate.
