Which is the latest memcached version (1.4 or 1.6)?

I do not see engine-pu branch on memcached git.

Is memcached version 1.6 deprecated?

1.4 is the latest stable. 1.6 is a development branch.

Thanks. I found engine-pu branch in git://github.com/memcached/memcached.git.

Earlier I cloned from your repo.

Is there any place where the major improvement in 1.6 over 1.4 are listed?
