Dear Davgaa,

My name is Gabriella Pella from Indonesian Development and Economics Studies Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia (KANOPI FEUI).

We are now conducting an event called The 11^th ECONOMIX, with this year theme “Maintaining Economic Stability in Fragile Global Recovery”

 The main event will be held on November 10^th– 14^th,2013 in University of Indonesia
Depok,Jawa Barat,  Indonesia.  The targeted participants of the 11^th Economix are undergraduate students - economics, socialscience, and law major are preferred - throughout Asia who will represent their respected universities and countries in this event.

Economix: Asian Economic Challenges is envisioned as a forum for economics students throughout Asia, experts, and publics alike to exchange ideas about relevant issues in Asian economies. Economix: Asian Economic Challenges will be held for 11th times this November, marking our long journey as a pioneer of student-led international economic forum in Indonesia.

11th Economix: Asian Economic Challenges will be focused on our grand theme of “Maintaining Economic Stability in Fragile Global Recovery”. This theme reflect the main concern of many Asian economies, especially the emerging markets, about the robustness of global economic recovery more than 5 years after the start of the Great Recession. Even after economists and officials alike announced that “the worst is over” in global economy, weak recovery has slowed down many emerging economies, notably China and India, to a level not seen in pre-crisis era. Further policies in Europe, United States, and Japan have also increased, not decreased volatility and risks in an increasingly interdependent world. 11th Economix thus is conceived to facilitate discussions about concrete solutions of how Asian economies can maintain growth and stability in an increasingly risky and fragile global economic recovery.

 The deadline for essay competition submission is  September 12^th 2013, while the deadline for delegates of conference to apply is August 20th 2013
