Hello all,

MELTING has seen a growing use over the years. Not only the Java version is used on a regular basis, but the tool has been included in BioPython, Bioconductor, etc. There are also a lot of feature requests and some important bug fixes (thanks, Duncan!).

Unfortunately, the tool is not developed any more. I was never personally involved in the coding from version 5. And all the other developers moved on (although John replies to requests. Thanks, John). The documentation is not up to date (even the README, which only mentions the EBI, and does not acknowledge some contributors such as Nicolas Rodriguez and Piero Dalle Pezze).

MELTING is under GPL and it was always my intention to make it entirely available. As such, if some of you accept to be actively involved in the evolution of the tool, this would be fantastic. I could add you on the Sourceforge project.
