Good Morning Folks,
A few things to start off the week. Looking ahead to our meeting on Sunday, I'd like to try something a bit different in terms of the format of our meetings. Looking ahead, we only have a few months left together, and from the beginning of the group, my hope has been that it will continue beyond my time here. With that in mind, I'd like everyone to bring either one scene or one moment in particular that was significant for you from this month's book, as a point of discussion, and we'll develop our conversation from those points. This will hopefully be a jump start to developing the group beyond my time at Mellingers, that way all of you can get used to leading meetings as a group when I am no longer here. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. I hope you all are enjoying the book--it's a moving read, and hopefully will lead to some wonderful discussion.
Another thing that we can discuss further on Sunday evening, is whether we will want to meet in June--I was not planning on meeting in July since it'll be fully summer by that point and everyone is busy. My initial thought was doing as we have done this month and reading a shorter book, and only meeting once, that way it won't be too hectic of a schedule as everyone's summer kicks into gear. Again, things for further discussion down the line, but I wanted to mention it, so that all of you can start thinking about how you want the group to proceed in the coming months.
Enjoy the warm weather today!
Peace,
Vicar Tina
