May and upcoming events

A wonderful, warm morning to all of you!

 

An array of dates and upcoming info for the next two months :-)

 

Our May meeting will be Sunday, May 22nd and we will be reading "People of the Book" by Geraldine Brooks.  As I mentioned last night, since we are fast approaching the summer months and busy schedules, it seems it might be easiest to meet once a month in May and June (as we did this month) and reading the whole book for that meeting.  This also will allow all of you to decide which "format" you prefer--twice a month or once a month--that way when you hopefully pick back up in September or October you'll have a consistent schedule and format that you like and which benefits all of you. 

 

Our meeting in June will either be the 5th or the 26th--we can decide as a group in May which date works best.  I do think that it would be a nice way to wrap up our six months together for this last meeting to not only be a time to discuss the book, but also to have a time of fellowship, possibly with a meal.  We could always do this at the church, but if there is another location that we could do this that would be great.  I would offer my apartment, however, I don't think all of you would fit :-) 

 

Last thing--I'm looking into possible dates to go see Water for Elephants with whomever would like to come along.  It would most like be sometime the week after Easter--but there will be more information coming on that later.

 

I hope everyone has a chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine today!  It appears spring has finall arrived!
