to World Melioidosis Congress 2024

Hello 10th World Melioidosis Delegates,

We have been receiving a few queries about the upcoming congress, that may be helpful in preparing for the congress.

Poster details:

  • Maximum poster size is A0 (841 x 1189 mm) - PORTRAIT ONLY
  • There will be multiple opportunities throughout the Congress for poster viewings and discussions, please see the program for details.
  • Supply and installation of posters will be the responsibility of the presenting author.
  • There will be an opportunity to set up posters between 12pm-4pm on Sunday 20th October.

Dress Code Congress:

While Darwin in October is hot and humid, the congress is being held in the Darwin Convention Centre which is fully airconditioned. Dress code for the congress is ‘business casual’.

Dress Code Gala Dinner:

If you have purchased a Gala Dinner ticket (it is not too late!) the dress code is ‘Territory formal’. This means formal but relaxed. Eg formal or cocktail dresses, long pants, button up shirts - ties optional. Feel free to dress up or down as much as you please, however no flip flops, shorts or singlets. Traditional dress is welcome!

Congress Food and Refreshments:

Morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea as well as tea/coffee/refreshments are all included in the congress ticket. Breakfast and dinner are not provided. However, there is light catering provided on the evening of Monday 21st – at the Welcome Reception.

Any further queries, please email wmc...@menzies.edu.au.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Regards Mark
