Dear All

Thank you for the warm message and for hosting such an excellent 10th World Melioidosis Congress. It was a privilege to attend and engage with so many dedicated professionals in Darwin. The insights shared by the delegates were precious, and I left the Congress with a deeper understanding of the global efforts needed to combat melioidosis.

Setting the standard high, I believe, will help enhance the impact of future events.

Once again, thank you for organizing this important gathering, and I look forward to staying involved in the continued global fight against melioidosis. We (Bhubaneswar, coastal India, and others) probably have very high caseloads (as our one hospital, last month had nearly 30 cases diagnosed); many might be missing in our hospital and other hospitals as well, and much to do…

Infectious diseases anywhere likely to be everywhere, spreading to others. We need to save lives.

I convey my heartfelt gratitude to all the organizers, mainly Dr. Bart and team, Prof Dance, Dr. Direk, Dr Alfredo, Dr Suman and the team from NIH, US/Amsterdam, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Viena….
