Dear everyone,

I hope that everyone is healthy and not too overwhelmed by COVID-19.

I would like to inform about the progression of the selection of new IMN Committee Member. Because the number of nominees (n=4) were within the range that the IMN committee decided a prior to consider whether we should consider taking them all or decide on the target number for voting. After the thorough discussion among IMN Committee during the last 2 months, we unanimously agree to have all four of them as new IMN Committee member. Therefore, there will not be the voting for this year.

The four new IMN committee member are

- Enoka Corea,

- Fazle Rabbi Chowdhury,

- Mark Mayo and

- Ya-Lei Chen.

They all aim to contribute to work to support the community further. Please join me in welcoming them.

Kind regards,

Direk Limmathurotsakul

Dear Members

I would like to convey my thanks to IMN for including me as a Committee Member.

I hope I will be able to provide a complementary viewpoint to inform and support the important activities of this group.

I have always admired the network's commitment to increasing  awareness regarding this fascinating and potentially deadly infection of rural populations in the tropics and the hard work done by its members to generate a body of knowledge that has already contributed to early detection and effective treatment with resulting benefits in terms of morbidity and mortality.

It is a great privilege to be a member of the executive committee

Enoka
