Hi Tim and Mark,
I will get our trusty WMC team to confirm the specifics for the posters – Id thought portrait not landscape was the decision, but please await the reply.
Thanks

Hello Tim,
My understanding that that the style is A0, which means:
· A0:
o 841 mm x 1189 mm
o 84.1 cm x 118.9 cm
o 33.1 inches x 46.8 inches
So will probably use the landscape view at this size. Does that answer your question?

Mark,
Can I check with you the maximum poster dimensions for WMC24?
Also, do you prefer portrait or landscape?
Kind regards,
Tim.

Hi Alfredo
No – we already have over 80 posters, so apart from 3 exceptions we have no duplicates and those doing talks do not need to have a poster prepared.
Thanks

As the temperature is likely to be 360/270 (real feel 420) during the conference, Is there any dress code for the conference?
Any suggestion, please
Thanking you,
With Kind regards,
Prasanta R Mohapatra
Thanks Prasanta
It will indeed be hot and humid outside but the Convention Centre is fully airconditioned and sometimes can feel a bit cool to us locals!
So – we recommend “business casual” for the meeting –long or short sleeves for shirts and ties not needed. No bare feet!!
For those who have purchased a Gala dinner ticket, dress code for this is “Territory Formal”, which is formal but still relaxed/comfortable - but no bare feet, no short trousers, no singlets or T shirts (unless with a very smart jacket). Some men will wear a tie and jacket but it is not mandatory. Very happy for any overseas delegates to don traditional dress.
Others – still time to register!!!
See you soon
Bart

Dear Saika
One further message for WMC delegates.
Mark and I were inspired by the group conga dancing at your wonderful 3rd South Asian Melioidosis Congress in Bangladesh last year.
So we are asking delegates to practice the Koala Nutbush in preparation for the Gala dinner.
Please see the link, and get ready….
