Dear Members,

Thanks for your patience in waiting on the next event announcement.
Again we've had to extend out our next meet, but we have some good
news.

Melbourne GTUG will be participating in the upcoming GTUG Global
Campout from Friday August 13th until Sunday August 15th, 2010.

GTUG Campout is an annual weekend-long event where Google Technology
User Group members have an opportunity to design, develop and demo a
complete application over the course of three days. This year the
theme will be HTML5.

The event kicks off on Friday, August 13th, where ideas and teams will
come together. Teams will then have the rest of the weekend to build
their HTML5 applications before presenting their work to the public on
Sunday 15th evening. Please note: Once venue is confirmed, the
duration of the event may be subject to change.

With so much interest in HTML5 and CSS3, there's never been a better
time to jump on board and attend a meeting if you haven't before. We
will be hosting technical talks at the beginning to get everyone
familiar and co-ordinating with the worldwide groups to interactively
discuss and assist.

As GTUG has 132 groups in 51 countries, this is going to be pretty
huge. Take a look at our previous year's event at
http://googlecode.blogspot.com/2009/08/gtug-campout-3-day-hackstravaganza.html
to get an idea of what's possible.

At this point, we'd like you to register your interest by visiting >>
http://www.meetup.com/GTUG-Campout/12936/ <<

Such an event requires a large amount of investment in time and
resources. As such, we are looking for keen volunteers to help co-
ordinate. We are also looking to have conversations with sponsors.
We'd also love to hear from other user groups to get the message out
or companies who want to participate in the event itself and can offer
their insights..

If you believe you can help out, I'd like you to please visit the
following link and register >> http://bit.ly/bSUROv << or
alternatively, please send me a direct email to leon(at)gouletsas.com

Thanks very much for your patience, we will be posting again soon.

Cheers
Leon
