Morning folks,

If you're running Android 1.6+ then you may begin to notice a change today. Android Market update has slowly begun to rollout, bringing with it a cleaner UI to make it simpler and easier for users to find the apps they want.

For developers it means .apk filesize has been increased to 50mb cap and product refunds have a grace period of only 15 mins.

If you've been meaning to develop for Android and have been stuck on how it all works, Google have also now opened up App Inventor for all.

App Inventor provides a simple graphical IDE so you can quickly assemble an app much like a puzzle, helping you to get the handle of the basic Android framework.

As it's primarily meant as an educational tool and a quick way to hack a working app, it is not recommended for full application development. As such it does not generate Java code, so cannot be imported into Eclipse or any other IDE.

Cheers
Leon
