This might be a good tool to try and animate the GDD logo into a "doodle"

Adobe EDGE Preview - Motion and Interaction Design for HTML5

I havent tried it myself but would be interested in hearing from anyone who has.

Johno!

Nice find Johno! Keep those HTML5 tips rolling into this thread everyone, let's share the love :)

Now that the full brief is available at http://goo.gl/DZZdj  here's an updated version of what the challenge is about:

- Create a 'Google Doodle'-style animated feature using the Google Developer Day map
- Develop your idea by Wednesday 10th August 2011, 10am AEST

- Make it bold, interactive, animated, musical, magical - the choice is yours!
- Be sure though in your design to incorporate an Australian theme

- Map is available on site in PSD and SVG. See: http://goo.gl/PbCvJ and http://goo.gl/PejMK
- Use open technologies like HTML5, CSS3, WebGL

- Close out by hosting your content on a website. Dropbox or GitHub are good choices but if you get stuck, email me!
- Include a paragraph on the Doodle and a Creative Commons attribution license
- Finally don't forget to fill your details on the OC:GDD'11 website's form!

Cheers
Leon
