Do you spend much of your day dealing with cleansing messy data? Are
you scraping websites or calling on APIs and need to transform data
between formats such as XML and JSON?

There's a wonderful new Google product that can help you: Google
Refine.

It uses a number of heuristics and uses a very simple easy-to-learn
command line language to perform powerful transformations. It lives
and works locally, so it's well suited for enterprise environments.

I've been using it over the weekend and it's my new favorite product.
It is particularly well suited as part of workflow for Maps
development and to prep data for visualization in Google Fusion
Tables.
