Are you interested in attending the largest Google developer event of
the year? You won't be alone. Literally thousands of developers will
be attending Google I/O 2011 in San Francisco this year from May
10-11.

You'll hear the latest developments of Google technologies, meet
Google engineers to answer your questions directly, network with other
developers and enjoy partying with fellow geeks :)

Last year's event sold out within a few short weeks, and it is no
exaggeration that this year it looks like it'll sell out in days.
Luckily GTUG has a kiosk at the conference, and as such our our
communities worldwide will be gathering to participate. That also
means we can help out with tickets!

If you are interested we can help you secure a spot, but only if you
immediately (today, Friday 5pm) post the following details:

First Name, Last Name
Organisation
Role
Email Address

Please post here or email leon (at) gouletsas.com and I will add you
to the Pre-Sale VIP list.

As there already a handful of developers who've expressed their
interest here in Melbourne, we will likely organise events with other
Aussie developers in the leadup. Be sure to book a few days earlier
and after so in case we hold events or parties you can make it :)

Cheers
Leon

Wow!  A fantastic response of people interested in attending with 12 in total will be representing GTUG Melbourne. Thanks guys and gals for helping us to represent Down Under!

Now for the 'one more thing...' for those that submitted to pre-register, keep a few days either side free from the conference as there's a few exciting events that are currently being planned.

Based on last years events, this likely includes the I/O Bootcamp (a series of 101 basic sessions on the premier Google APIs) and a special GTUG-only presentation/dinner at Google San Francisco. Groovy!

I will be sending emails in the weeks to come about planning our trip there to ensure you get the most out of the events and your time in California.

Cheers
Leon

PS. If anyone has had a last minute change of heart and has decided to pre-register, you are welcome to email me until 6am tomorrow, and I'll see if I can sneak you in the list. Remember, this is just pre-register so no payment required but please only express your interest if you are determined to go as tickets are very limited.
