Hi all,

We are trialing Luma as the events platform for future Melbourne Compose meetings. If you haven't used it yet, it feels similar to Meetup, but without the extortionate fees. Luma works well, and seems to be getting good adoption.

Our next meeting, on Thursday March 20, is up on Luma:

Hope to see you there :)

How have you found the discoverability of Luma? I failed to find Melbourne Compose through Luma's search and I can't even find Brisbane at all. At BFPG, we use it for event notifications and RSVPs and that's been fine, but it means we have to be sure to advertise through other means - we can't expect to pick up newbies through it.

Hi Jack,

We'll assess after a few months I think. If it serves as an event calendar, RSVP manager and record of past events, that's adding net value.

Like you I cant find Melb Compose nor BFPG in Luma atm. They need a search-by-keyword function and they need more transparency about what appears in "Discover" and why.

That's about where we got to also. Good luck.
