Hi,

This time last year I was asking BN members to vote for me in the Board elections.  I'm not standing this year, but consider supporting two people with track records of strong activism.

Faith Hunter and Jenica Brooke are standing as a team and both support all the outcomes Melbourne BUG has tried to win over the years.

Here's a message from Jenica that I've cross posted from another BUG list:

I'm not sure how many of you are Bicycle Network members, but for those who are, I am writing to seek your support in the upcoming Bicycle Network board elections (voting open 1-16 Oct).

I hope that if successful in joining the board, I will be better able to influence change, for safer outcomes for cyclists. In particular, I hope to continue my longstanding advocacy for Minimum Passing Distance Legislation; building a network of safe bike lanes; and improved driver education and training.

Note there are two positions open at this time. Fellow candidate, Faith Hunter, and I are co-hosting a meet and greet at Commuter Cycles tomorrow night (Monday 30 Sep), from 5-6pm. If you'd like to hear from each of us about what we're hoping to achieve on the BN Board, and ask us any questions, please come along!

Details for the meet and greet:

You can read about all eight candidates on the BN website:

Warm regards,

Jenica Brooke
