Learn how advanced features in Vivado design software helps hardware designers reduce compile times and design iterations, while more accurately estimating power for AMD adaptive SoCs and FPGAs. (Infographic - May 2023)
Design iterations are common as devlopers add new features and debug their design. In many cases these iterations are incremental changes and in most cases the changes are within a small portion of the design. The Vivado ML Edition offers two key technologies that significantly reduce design iteration times: Incremental compile and Abstract Shell.
While designing Adaptive SoCs and FPGA, early and accurate power estimation is critical to driving crucial design decisions. Power Design Manager is a next generation power estimation tool engineered to provide accurate power estimation early in the design process for large and complex devices such as Versal and UltraScale+ families. This tool was specifically designed to provide accurate power estimations for devices with multiple complex hard IP blocks.
Vivado supports design entry in traditional HDL like VHDL and Verilog. It also supports a graphical user interface-based tool called the IP Integrator (IPI) that allows for a Plug-and-Play IP Integration Design Environment.
Dynamic Function eXchange (DFX) allows designers to dynamically modify sections of the FPGA designs on-the-fly. Designers can download partial bitstreams to the FPGA while the remaining logic continues to operate. This opens a world of possibilities for real time design changes and performance enhancements. Dynamic Function eXchange can allow designers to move to fewer or smaller devices, reduce power, and upgrade systems in real-time.
"Intelligent Design Runs is a game-changer by offering a push-button method for aggressively improving timing results. IDR generates QoR suggestions that bring maximum impact, resulting in expert quality results and a reduction in user analysis, especially for tough to close designs."

A comprehensive set of hardware documents, design files, and a complete software SDK allows OEMs to create complete, fully interoperable Dante AV products quickly and reliably with end-to-end HDCP support.
The Dante AV PDS comes with basic metal enclosure design, packaging design, preliminary EMI and thermal product scans, manufacturing instructions, and test fixture design guidance. Each Dante AV PDS contains 2 pre-configured Dante AV Endpoint Design Boards and 5 Dante AV modules in order to validate end-to-end performance.
NOTE: It is not guaranteed that files saved with Beta versions of the individual products in Autodesk Product Design Suite 2014 migrate into the final release versions included in this release of Product Design Suite 2014.
I showed the T-Splines to a customer today, I was completely honest about it's limitations and he is chomping at the bit, he wants it now. I showed another customer the Sheet Metal Cut Normal feature the other day and he was stoked it's finally in the product as well. It may not be for you (although I still can't believe you will feel the same way about the sketch improvements once you have used them for a few days), but this release is a big deal for a lot of people.

Altium 365 is the electronics product design platform that unites PCB Design, MCAD, data management, and teamwork together like never before. Design, share, and manufacture, all in Altium Designer without changing a thing about how you already work.
Altium Designer offers a unified environment that empowers engineers with a single view of every aspect of the PCB design process including schematic, PCB layout, harness design, and documentation. By accessing every tool in one place, engineers can complete their entire design within the same intuitive environment and quickly deliver high-quality products.
Work from a single, cohesive data model for your projects that unifies your design process. Easily access and manipulate detailed data for schematics, layouts, simulations, multiboards, and harness designs rather than storing and manually syncing separate data for each element.
Never lose context and time when reviewing comments. Attach comments to an entire document or a specific object, visually highlight a problem area directly in the design, and tag people to quickly resolve issues, all without leaving your design environment or from any web browser.
Never lose important action items and easily see a high-level view of the state of your project, all without leaving your design environment. Tasks can be created and accessed from either Altium Designer or a web browser and always live within the context of your design.
Easily create a logical representation of cables for your product right in Altium Designer. Familiar schematic editing and library management tools allow you to design harness connectivity and source parts without needing any additional software.
Easily work together with your mechanical team, and forget about the days of swapping design files. Every design change stays in sync between Altium Designer and SOLIDWORKS, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion 360, or Siemens NX*.
