I must have had too much coffee, but when I first saw this, I thought it had a spinal cord! Forgive me for being so daffy! I like the shape of this bag, but am just not a big fan of the ruching. Sorry!! (fb)
Between becoming operational in Normandy on August 1, 1944, and the end of hostilities on May 9, 1945, the Third Army was in continuous combat for 281 days. In that time, it crossed 24 major rivers and captured 81,500 square miles (211,000 km2) of territory, including more than 12,000 cities and towns. The Third Army claimed to have killed, wounded, or captured 1,811,388 German soldiers, six times its strength in personnel.[208] Fuller's review of Third Army records differs only in the number of enemies killed and wounded, stating that between August 1, 1944, and May 9, 1945, 47,500 of the enemy were killed, 115,700 wounded, and 1,280,688 captured, for a total of 1,443,888.[209]
Gay and others were only slightly injured, but Patton hit his head on the glass partition that separated the front and back seat.[229] He began bleeding from a gash to the head and complained that he was paralyzed and having trouble breathing. Taken to a hospital in Heidelberg, Patton was discovered to have a compression fracture and dislocation of the cervical third and fourth vertebrae, resulting in a broken neck and cervical spinal cord injury that rendered him paralyzed from the neck down.[228]
On December 24, Patton was buried at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial in the Hamm district of Luxembourg City, alongside some wartime casualties of the Third Army, in accordance with his request to "be buried with [his] men." While he was initially buried in the middle of a plot like every other service member, the large number of visitors to his grave damaged the cemetery grounds, and his remains were moved to their current location at the front of the grave plots.[231]
Unfortunately, the distribution of funerary sites is extremely uneven across Europe: although cemeteries are present since the Early Mesolithic11, they have mostly been found in regions where the exploitation of predictable marine and riverine resources favored demographic growth, reduced mobility, and larger settlements4, such as northwestern Europe, the lower Danube, and the Dnieper basin12,13,14. In contrast, burials are exceedingly rare in areas such as the Italian Alps and Apennines, where subsistence appears to have focused mainly on the exploitation of terrestrial resources15, with small groups alternating seasonally between high pastures and lowlands16,17. In fact, in all of northern Italy, only two burials are currently securely dated to the Early Mesolithic (Vatte di Zambana, and Arma Veirana, see below; Mondeval de Sora has been dated to the Late Mesolithic, and recent studies suggest that Mezzocorona-Borgonuovo may belong to the same phase)6,18,19,20,21. The present study thus adds critically important new data to the meager record of Early Mesolithic burials from Northern Italy by presenting new chronological, biochemical, and biomechanical data from two buried individuals from Liguria now confirmed to also date to this period.
The δ13C values for the adult Mesolithic individuals from Nasino suggest a highly terrestrial diet40, while the δ15N values are markedly lower than the Late Epigravettian ones, highlighting the difference in diet or environmental conditions between Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene foragers in the region. One possibility is that a significant portion of dietary protein consumed by Ligurian Mesolithic foragers derived from plants. Alternatively, assuming a subsistence mainly based on exploiting terrestrial animals (cf.6,41), the Nasino individuals could have hunted in a different area, in which δ15N levels were significantly lower throughout the trophic chain, driven by environmental factors affecting soils, such as precipitation, temperature, and altitude42,43. Similar differences were recorded for roe deer living in forest environments, due to acidic pH leading to low nitrogen isotopic composition in soils44.
Estimate percentage of the provenience for the protein consumed by Nasino individuals and Ligurian Late Epigravettian adults/adolescents using a Bayesian model (FRUITS) based on five food resources, selected according to the availability of data and relevancy for the chronology and location of the sites (details in SI 1). Boxes represent a 68% credible interval (corresponding to the 16th and 84th percentiles) while the whiskers represent a 95% credible interval (corresponding to the 2.5th and 97.5th percentiles). The horizontal continuous line represents the estimated mean while the horizontal dashed line represents the estimated median (50th percentile).
At this point, air travel is piled with indignities. This handy leather rollup won't stop the TSA from deciding to rifle through your carry-on, but it will keep all your cords and cables tidy. At least that way they'll be easier to pack back in.

During the course of this war I have received promotions and decorations far above and beyond my individual merit. You won them; I as your representative wear them. The one honor which is mine and mine alone is that of having commanded such an incomparable group of Americans, the record of whose fortitude, audacity, and valor will endure as long as history lasts.
How did General Patton die? The short story is that he sustained spinal cord and neck injuries in an automobile accident near Neckarstadt, Germany. He passed away from pulmonary embolism as a result of the accident.
@Gta5 Fan Player it depends which car you have replaced. You need to go to the vehicles.meta of the car and look for that car, then where you see audioNameHash you need yo put in the name of the sound. In this case you choose between italianttv10 or italiannav10
Shall we therefore conclude that these are theproportions in which the Anglo-Saxon and Latinelements of the language stand to one another? If they are so, then my former proposal to expresstheir relations by sixty and thirty was greatly atfault; and seventy and twenty, or even eighty andten, would fall short of adequately representing thereal predominance of the Saxon over the Latinelement of the language. But it is not so; theAnglo-Saxon words by no means outnumber theLatin in the degree which the analysis of thosepassages would seem to imply. It is not that there[25]are so many more Anglo-Saxon words, but thatthe words which there are, being words of moreprimary necessity, do therefore so much morefrequently recur. The proportions which theanalysis of the dictionary that is, of the languageat rest, would furnish, are very different fromthese which I have just instanced, and which theanalysis of sentences, or of the language in motion, gives. Thus if we examine the total vocabularyof the English Bible, not more than sixty per cent.of the words are native; such are the resultswhich the Concordance gives; but in the actualtranslation the native words are from ninety insome passages to ninety-six in others per cent[27].
It is certain that all languages must, or at leastall languages do in the end, perish. They run theircourse; not at all at the same rate, for the tendencyto change is different in different languages, bothfrom internal causes (mechanism and the like), andalso from causes external to the language, laid inthe varying velocities of social progress and socialdecline; but so it is, that whether of shorter orlonger life, they have their youth, their manhood,[114]their old age, their decrepitude, their final dissolution. Not indeed that, even when this last hourhas arrived, they disappear, leaving no traces behindthem. On the contrary, out of their deatha new life comes forth; they pass into new forms, the materials of which they were composed moreor less survive, but these now organized in newshapes and according to other laws of life. Thusfor example, the Latin perishes as a living language, but a chief part of the words that composedit live on in the four daughter languages, French,Italian, Spanish, Portuguese; or the six, if wecount the Provençal and Wallachian; not a fewin our own. Still in their own proper being languagesperish and pass away; there are deadrecords of what they were in books; not livingmen who speak them any more. Seeing thenthat they thus die, they must have had the germsof a possible decay and death in them from thebeginning.
