I am currently writing a grant proposal to study the marine
Gastrotricha of the wider Caribbean (Tropical Northwest Atlantic).
While the focus taxon is Gastrotricha, these animals cannot be
targeted in our collection efforts, and we expect to find (based on
earlier observations) the following taxa within our samples:
Cnidaria (Actinulida)
Platyhelminthes (Kalyptorhyncha, Proseriata)
Tardigrada
Priapulida
Oligochaeta
Polychaeta
I am looking for potential collaborators with expertise in one or more
of these groups. As a collaborator, you will receive specimens
(morphological, DNA, photographic, GIS data, etc) from our collec†ion
efforts throughout the Caribbean, and may have an opportunity to join
in on the collection effort at a later date (free of charge). If
interested, please send an email to: Dr. Rick Hochberg
(rick_h...@uml.edu). Thank you.

Eric,

Sounds interesting. Am I correct in assuming that species you left off the list are already covered, e.g., Kinorhyncha, Aplacophora, Loricifera, etc. What kind of depth regimes were you thinking of?

Dr. Hochberg,

Are Halacaridae mites already covered?
