When widow yoga occurs according to Graha in the Kundali of the girl child, then the Kumbh marriage ceremony is performed for its redress.

Tulsi vivah is celebrated on the Dwadashi (12th day) of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) during the month of Kartik, as per the Hindu calendar.
