Dear all,
It is nice to know the interactions amongst all the bactches. It is really wonderful to have guest lectures and an end examination to evaluate the students through some testing sessions. Currently the students are busy with their semester examinations scheduled to commence from 19-04-2008. All the guest lectures can be planned from first week of July 2008. One of our faculty who coordinates all the guest lectures is sri KR Vinayak. Our Hon. secretary sri T Narayanswamy , who was handling drawing subjects to you all during the period 1982-85 (phone no. 23491016) is also keen to meet you all during first week of May 2008.Let us all meet during first or second week of May 2008. Thirdweek of April to first week of May 2008 we are busy with even semester exams conducted by Board of technical examinations
regards,
raghuraman

Hari Om,

I feel it would be ideal to first start the technology so that the students have an understanding of the basics and current happenings in the technology sector.  Once this is over we can have the testing session.

I would also suggest that we just do not give lectures (which would make the audience sleep, which we all do in most seminars),  these should be more of interactive sessions and an small examination at the end of the session.  This way we can get to know if the students have really understood what was taught in these sessions. At the end of the day the students should gain from our experiences and we have a satisfaction that we have done our little bit to the betterment of the students.

Best Wishes
P.kalaivanan

Hi,

I am also willing to support any poor student. Instead of supporting students on induvidual basis, Could we collect funds & keep it aside for this cause?. RaghuRam Sir or V.K. Mam could actually find out the needy student & utilise these funds accordingly. Please let me know your suggestions.

Happy Evening All,

Per head for poor students support is Rs.1,400/- (Krishna Kumar has contributed Rs.1,000/-).

Raghuraman sir had mentioned there are couple of students who have passed out from MEI, started engineering but have dropped out due to affordability challenges. There are two areas we can help:
a) fee support for engineering.
b) house hold expense support.

Please let know your thoughts. If any questions or information needed please do write, so that Raghuraman sir can respond.
