Call For Papers

TRON Forum is pleased to announce 2015 TRON Symposium, the 31st
TRON Project Symposium to be held on 9th-10th of December 2015 in
Tokyo, Japan. The Symposium, with technical co-sponsorship of IEEE
Consumer Electronics Society, will feature presentation sessions of
papers, poster sessions, panel discussions, tutorial sessions and an
accompanying exhibition, TRONSHOW (9th-11th December.) Exhibition
runs a day longer.

Prospective authors in the embedded systems industry and the emerging
field of the IoT are encouraged to submit full papers or extended
abstract for presentation.  Accepted and presented papers to the FULL
track will be submitted to IEEE for inclusion in IEEE XploreⓇ online
publication database. (Note: Papers submitted to SHORT paper track
won't be submitted to IEEE Xplore.)

----------------------------------
Topics of the papers:
----------------------------------

Broadly speaking, there are two categories. One is embedded systems
and the other is the IoT (or Ubiquitous Computing) application and
services. The boundary of these categories have become blurred thanks
to the real-world services applications of the IoT that use RFID tags,
small sensor nodes to build Ubiquitous Sensor Network, and the like.

The full list of topics is found in later section of this text, and
at the symposium website.
General Symposium web page:
http://www.tronshow.org/index-e.html
CfP in particular:
http://www.tronshow.org/2015-tron-symposium/en/call.html

----------------------------------
Submission of Papers
----------------------------------

Only original papers that have not been published or submitted for
publication elsewhere will be considered. Papers presented at the
Symposium should be full papers or extended abstract, in English of
maximum 9 pages including figures and pictures, using the supplied
template. The minimum length is 2 pages for an extended abstract from
busy practitioners.

For details of writing guide, please see the
author's guideline posted at the Symposium website.

----------------------------------
Abstract: We now use EDAS for abstract submission.
----------------------------------

Please register your paper and submit an abstract of the final
submission (maximum approximately 300 words) to EDAS the
appropriateness of the topic in advance by registering your paper
(title, author, etc.) to 2015 TRON Symposium (TRONSHOW) at EDAS.
Initially we requested that the potential authors finish this by July
15th, but we have made the above step as optional because there were voices
from people in the Northern Hemisphere that contacting research
partners is awkward during this time of the year.
So simply finish the above registration step BEFORE your submission of
the final manuscript: deadline is 2nd September

You need to create an EDAS account if you do not have one yet.

    http://edas.info/N20425

Please input the abstract as plain text into the web submission form
during registering your paper.

----------------------------------
Final draft Submission
----------------------------------

The authors should submit the final manuscript by 2nd September
to EDAS in Portable Document Format (PDF). Notice of acceptance for
presentation will be sent by 2nd October. For papers that are accepted
for presentation, the final version is to be submitted to IEEE PDF
eXpress by 4th November. An author must be at the symposium for the
presentation of the paper during 2015 TRON Symposium (TRONSHOW).

About TRON Project and TRON Symposium:
----------------------------------

The annual TRON Symposium has been held for the last 30 years to
disseminate the result of TRON project and foster communication of
interested parties.

TRON Symposium is the place to discuss the applications and services
of the IoT in the future such as the home electronic appliances, smart
homes, buildings and cities of the future, and to discuss the nuts and
bolts of embedded systems such as RTOS kernel, which will be used in
the IoT nodes, and the implementation issues such as interaction of
the IoT paradigm and Cloud. We welcome discussions of the impact of
technology on society.

TRON Project was established in 1984. It aims to build the open
architecture of advanced embedded systems. It has developed very
popular TRON real-time OS (RTOS) family: ITRON specification OS, and
T-Kernel, for example. TRON Project's original goal included the
vision of "Computer Everywhere", which is basically the same as
ubiquitous computing or the IoT (the Internet of Things). See
http://www.tron.org/ for the detailed background on TRON Project.
