                                    A MEGHAN'S MOUNTAIN SPECIAL EVENT

                                  MEGHAN NEEDS YOUR HELP ON THIS ONE

 

 

 EVEN AS MEGHAN FIGHTS HER OWN BATTLE, SHE WON'T SAY NO TO OTHERS

              WILL YOU HELP MEGHAN LIGHT THE MOUNTAINS WITH LOVE ?

     JAMES GRAHAM BROWN CANCER CENTER

 

                          Date: Tuesday, December 20, 2011

                                Location: Main lobby, James Graham Brown Cancer Center

                               Time: 8:00 am to 4 p.m.

 

  The Brown Cancer Center will treat approx. 250 cancer patients (plus those on the oncology floor of U of L Hospital) on December 20.  Meghan's Mountain will provide, for those 250 people plus, food, drinks and entertainment in the main lobby as we pass out the gifts listed below. We will have violins and singers in the morning, and award winning country music singer and song writer Mickey Clark in the afternoon. U of L Hall of Fame Coach Denny Crum will be there from 12:30 to 2:30 to greet and sign autographs.

 

 To make this a success WE NEED YOUR HELP as we did not have a major fundraiser this year. Please help Meghan by purchasing one of the many items listed below, or by sending in a monetary contribution.

 

   MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS: 

   If you have not made a gift to our foundation this year, you can add to the holiday spirit with any amount...as little as $5.00 will turn on the lights. Just mail a tax deductible check to Meghan's Mountain Charitable Foundation, Inc. at 5600 Harrods Cove, Prospect, Ky. 40059 (please mark for "Christmas at the Brown").

 

  PURCHASING PERSONAL ITEMS: THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN HELP

  All items must be new. We need the following items recommended by the Brown for those that need our support during their battle against cancer. By yourself, or with your family or office co-workers, you can light the mountains.

 

PERSONAL CARE: lip balm, hand sanitizer, nail care item/file, good hand lotion.

READING: adult puzzle books and journals

HOLIDAY DECORATIONS:ornaments or dreidel's,

OTHER ITEMS: scented candles, coffee mugs with tea, coffee or hot chocolate packs, key chain with lights

TO HELP THEM KEEP WARM: for both men and women (gloves, warm socks and scarves).

GIFT CERTIFICATES/CARDS: gift cards from any fast food restaurant or drug store cards ($5 increments).

 

 

Upon request we will send you a tax deductible statement for your purchases. If you are willing to contribute call Jerry (502) 468-0630 or email at jrst...@aol.com to let him know what you are purchasing so we can make sure we have enough of each item.

 

  THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS A TIME OF LOVE... one pair of socks, one scarve, one gift card, one of any item will let a cancer patient know they do not climb their mountain alone. Please help Meghan this holiday season. Be a part of the lights of this special mountain of love.
