to bookmark this post to use it as a QUICKLINK settings maker for all
of your Google Groups reading:
5a. Click on "more options" to the far right
of the posters name "$Zero" above --
(it's to the left of the date info on this post).
5b. Click on "Individual Message"
5c1. Copy the addrees in the web browser window bar and paste it
somewhere handy.

5c2. do whatever you normally do to save a window to your favorite
places or bookmark section.

Note that everytime you click on a link in a google groups posting
window it opens up a new window which you can then close to get back
to the page withy the other links you need to click to set up the
QUICKLINK settings.
why Google just doesn't allow you to set these permanently (tied into
your Google Groups log-in name settings) is beyond me.
but then again, so are many such poorly-thought-out irritating flaws
in software designs.
