RSVPs: Inconsistencies between web interface and API

Hi,

I'm using the /2/rsvps API to retrieve the list of members attending a
meetup but seeing rather large inconsistencies between what's
displayed by the web interface and what I get from the API. For
example, consider this event:

RSVPs closed more than 2 hours ago and 99 people are attending. Yet,
when I try to get the list of attendees from the API...

... I only get 87 members back.

I'm seeing the same behaviour with other events - the number of
members returned by the API appears to be often significantly lower
that what's displayed on the web interface. Is there any reason for
this or is this a bug?

hi Mehdi,

This is probably caused by people who are bringing guests. If someone
RSVPs yes with one guest, it will increment the attendee count by 2 but
only generate one RSVP entry in the API. If you were to manually (or
with some kind of script) count the rows in the RSVP list for that event
on the website, you would also see 87 of them there, for the same reason.
