is the event how_to_find_us property still used?

For older meetups I am getting a value back for this, but newer ones always have this blank? Is it just that it's not being used in the meetups I'm a member of or is this no longer an option to set from the website?

Hi senloe,

It's not a required field to create an event so I wouldn't always count on it being present. There are two forms for creating and event on Meetup through the site. There is the quick format which members may have access to on group home pages and then there is an expanded format with more options that only organizers have access to accessible from the upper right tab. That form contains the "how to find us" field. I just did a quick test and that field is still represented in the event responses.
